Why Greenville? Why now? I’m glad you asked and here are some reasons why…
Travelers Rest A high-five to Travelers Rest! According to the TR Tribune, “Travelers Rest finished with the second-highest number of online votes in the preliminary round of Budget Travel's 2014 Coolest Small Towns contest.” There are 15 finalists, and the winner will be chosen this month. Those finalists then go to a new round of online voting for the top 10 cities, which will be named in February and featured in Budget Travel. Travelers Rest is one hour from Ashville, and minutes from Paris Mountain State Park. In recent news, Furman University became part of Travelers Rest.
Simpsonville Only 10 minutes away from Greenville, be sure to visit Heritage Park, which also houses the Charter Amphitheatre, the newest addition to the Simpsonville's live entertainment landscape. Mark your calendars for Aloft on Memorial Day weekend! It is described as the best of outdoor adventure and experiences, together with great food and entertainment. With over 80 hot air balloons in the air, Simpsonville takes center stage. Located at Heritage Park in Simpsonville, it’s ranked as one of the Southeast's best events by Southern Living Magazine and it has hit audience levels of more than 200,000 people. Just a stone’s throw from Greenville, Greer and Fountain Inn, the area is flourishing and lots of new homes are being built in Simpsonville.
Greer Near and dear to my heart is Greer, close to the Blue Ridge Mountains, not to mention the home of BMW’s only U.S. manufacturing facility. Did you know you could even take a guided tour and visit the Zentrum Museum? Historic downtown Greer has lots of cool shops and restaurants. My husband and I had a date night at Rivera’s and loved it! It’s said that Greer ranked 3rd as one of the fastest growing cities in South Carolina. Greer still maintains a small-town feel while still making room for growing businesses and the housing community. If you’re traveling from out of state, you can fly into the Greenville-SpartanburgInternational Airport located in Greer.
Greenville …and last but not least, Greenville! Part of South Carolina’s Upstate, Greenville According to the City’s website, “Greenville experienced over $122 million in new residential construction and an additional $117 million in renovations in the City's neighborhoods. The city's downtown is experiencing a boom in new apartment development as the demand increases for urban living.” We house and are surrounded by many local colleges and universities, which means lots of college football rivalries. We are home to the TD Convention Center, Bon-Secours Wellness Arena, The Peace Center, Carolina Ballet Theatre and much more. I’m bored…said no in Greenvilleperson ever!
